To prepare students to use practical data-driven research methods within their research and professional careers.

Data Visualization

The student is able to visualize datasets and communicate their principal research findings to stakeholders and their scientific peers.

Research Plan

The student is able to develop a research plan to address a key question in their academic field that can be assessed with data science tools.

Technique Application

The student is able to apply multiple data analytic techniques to datasets commonly used in their field study and problem shoot common errors that may occur when applying such techniques.
