Bioenergetics and Exercise Science (PhD)
Program Purpose
The Bioenergetics and Exercise Science PhD Program was founded with the purpose of educating students in a multidisciplinary environment to address research questions at the level of the whole body to the gene using a variety of human, animal, cell culture and other models to train them for employment in research, teaching, health care, government, and service institutions.
Learning Outcomes
Communication Skills
Program students will be able to orally explain a research idea and design.
Data Interpretation & Presentation
Program students will interpret scientific data to create and give a presentation.
Effective Undergraduate Instruction
Program students will demonstrate effective undergraduate instruction in KINE.
Original Research Design
Program students will demonstrate the ability to design original research in the National Institute of Health (NIH) grant submission format.
Professional Development
Program students will be able to develop the skills necessary to apply for an academic or industry position.
Scientific Writing
Program students will develop scientific writing skills.
