Global Cross-Cultural Competency (UG Cert)
Program Purpose
This certificate is designed to help prepare students for professional practice in culturally diverse settings. Students will build the knowledge, skills and attitudes they will need in order to increase their effectiveness in relating to people from different cultural backgrounds in both domestic and international environments that are increasingly diverse.
Learning Outcomes
Cultural Beliefs, Values and Sensibilities
Students will demonstrate knowledge of how cultural beliefs, values and sensibilities shape people's perceptions of others and impact their decisions and actions.
Negotiation
Students will negotiate through cultural differences, conflicts or misunderstandings to promote successful outcomes.
